aspiHer Power Stage Speaker: Victoria Sopik

“How I Built a Global Business While Raising Eight Children!”
CEO and Co-founder at Kids & Company, GLOBAL Business Leader, Strategic Visionary, Multiple AWARD-WINNING Entrepreneur
As one of Canada’s most successful woman entrepreneurs, Victoria Sopik is an award-winning industry leader who has built a global multi-million-dollar business that first started out in her backyard.
How did this mother of eight children do it? By tapping right into an innate sense of who she was and what she cared about — children and parenting, Victoria embraced and empowered herself with the theme that was already shaping her life to transform the landscape and delivery of childcare on a very large scale.
Speaker Info
Victoria is CEO and co-founder of Kids & Company, the first and only operation in Canada to offer guaranteed corporate-sponsored childcare which caught the attention and support of big players such as CIBC, Royal Bank, Deloitte, Ernst and Young, Rogers and Scotia Bank. The KidCo Model addressed the untapped demand for flexible childcare in the workplace, and the struggle working parents face to maintain a balance between providing the best care they can for their children and their professional goals and demands.
As a result, Kids & Company has enjoyed phenomenal national and international growth. Since 2002 it has evolved from a single childcare center in Toronto scaling up to 200 locations in Halifax, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver and in the U.S. in Chicago, New York, St. Louis, and Boston. In 2018, Kids & Company became part of Grandir International Childcare Group where the company also has a strong presence in Europe.
